PARTICIPATION AND CONTRIBUTION TO THE LAUNCH OF THE EUROPEAN HIGHER EDUCATION INTEROPERABILITY FRAMEWORK
On January 15, 2025, in Brussels, the European Higher Education Interoperability Framework (HEIF) was officially launched, marking a pivotal step toward redefining collaboration and integration across universities in Europe. This groundbreaking initiative aims to ensure seamless interaction between educational IT systems, emphasizing the need for a networked approach over standalone systems.
Omiros Iatrellis from the INVEST European University alliance joined a diverse group of experts and stakeholders from across Europe, contributing to discussions and decisions that will shape the future of higher education interoperability.
The INVEST University proudly participated in this ambitious endeavor. As part of its commitment to innovation, INVEST has already developed impactful solutions such as the Virtual Campus, the EDUC8EU Open Science Hub, and a platform for handling micro-credentials. These platforms are poised to be further enhanced under the HEIF, unlocking new possibilities for collaboration and accessibility.
This milestone event highlighted the critical importance of interoperability in enabling inclusive, efficient, and seamless educational experiences across Europe, benefiting students, educators, and institutions alike.
