SUCCESSFUL INAUGURAL MEETING UNITES RESEARCHERS AND SETS FUTURE DIRECTIONS"

On December 4th and 5th, the University of Reims-Champagne Ardenne hosted the first meeting with the principal investigators of the INVEST Center of Excellence on Research, Development & Innovation

This event provided an opportunity to get to know each other, share expertise and exchange about respective research interests across diverse fields

Various workshops were planned during these two days, to discuss:

• The scope of work of the thematic research clusters,
• The scope of work of the INVEST Centre of Excellence Executive Committee,
• The engagement with the members of the Taskforce of funding opportunities,
• The structuring the project proposal process for joint INVEST grant applications

This led to fruitful exchanges during the meeting and informal discussions during the social dinner on December 4th

We wrapped up these two days with an insightful visit to the Centre for Biotechnology and Bioeconomy, where we were welcomed by Pr. Patrick Perré, Pr. Rafik Balti and Pr. Pedro Augusto.

Next steps on the project in early 2025 will be the kick-off meeting with the members of the Taskforce on networking opportunities, the first meeting of the INVEST Centre of Excellence Executive Committee, and a capacity building seminar for the members of the Taskforce on funding opportunities.
