"An Introduction to Nature-Inclusive Agriculture" is a joint Winter School for BSc (with completed two years of studies), MSc and PhD students from all disciplines in the INVEST alliance partner Universities.

It will be implemented in a hybrid form with 

  • an online preliminary phase (18 September – 6 October)
  • an on-site phase (8 – 16 October) and
  • an online post phase (17 – 20 October),

and will be hosted by Van Hall Larenstein University University of Applied Sciences, The Netherlands.

The Winter School will allow students to:

  • Learn how agriculture can go hand in hand with increased biodiversity, such as flower and herb-rich grassland.
  • Learn about challenges and solutions related to farming aspects such as the role of insects, soil health, and transitional production methods in horticulture and stock.
  • Learn how to contrast different European practices in nature-inclusive farming within the regional and national context.
  • Strengthen their multi-professional working life skills
  • Extend their professional and personal networks
  • Acquire 5 ECTS

The course is free for the admitted students and all travel and subsistence costs are covered by the INVEST project and the Erasmus+ programme of the EU.
