This webinar focuses on the importance of student involvement and explores how staff can support students’ sense of belonging, participation and engagement in practice. The webinar discusses why student involvement matters for learning, wellbeing and study motivation, and how students can be encouraged to take an active role in their study community.

The session will bring together expert insights, practical examples and student perspectives. It will highlight how students can contribute to the development of courses, international activities and university communities, and how staff can create low-threshold opportunities for participation. The webinar also offers practical ideas for listening to students, supporting peer interaction, collecting feedback and showing students that their contributions make a difference.

A key message of the webinar is that student involvement is not an extra activity, but an essential part of a successful student experience. Students are more likely to participate, learn and thrive when they feel welcomed, valued and heard.
