This webinar, organised by University of Milano-Bicocca focuses on competence-based approaches and the recognition of prior learning (RPL) in higher education. It explores how universities can assess, validate, and recognize competences acquired through formal, non-formal, and informal learning pathways. The session will present institutional frameworks, practical tools, and assessment methods that support more flexible, inclusive, and learner-centered education systems.

Fausta Scardigno (University of Bari, President RUIAP) – Professor and President of the Italian University Network for Lifelong Learning (RUIAP), with extensive experience in lifelong learning policies, competence development, and institutional collaboration.
Nadia Nassoh (URCA) – Expert in recognition and validation of prior learning, working on tools and approaches to support the implementation of RPL in higher education contexts.
Konstantinos Kokkinos (UTH) – Professor at UTH specializing in decision support systems and sustainability, with extensive experience with expertise in competence-based education and assessment methods
