BIG IDEAS, SHARED MOMENTS: REFLECTIONS FROM OUR WEEK AT #EAIE2025
The INVEST Alliance is concluding four inspiring days in Gothenburg at the EAIE 2025 Conference and Exhibition. With more than 7000 participants representing 106 countries, this year’s gathering offered us the chance to connect, exchange, and share the story of INVEST with a truly global higher education community.
Throughout the week, we welcomed visitors at our booth (P112), joined conversations on innovation and internationalisation, and highlighted our collective efforts to transform higher education through sustainability, digitalisation, and student-centred collaboration.
Highlights for INVEST
🌍 Showcasing INVEST
Our booth became a meeting point for colleagues, partners, and new friends interested in exploring what it means to build a European University Alliance. From discussions on sustainability and regional development to mobility, quality assurance, academic advising, and Living Labs, we were proud to demonstrate the breadth of INVEST initiatives.
🤝 New connections
Conversations with universities, networks, and stakeholders opened doors for potential future collaborations. Many showed interest in becoming associated partners, exploring synergies in areas like sustainability, digital transformation, and lifelong learning.
🎤 The human side of networking
Beyond the formal sessions, some of our most meaningful exchanges happened in the informal spaces — over coffee, in networking receptions, and at the booth itself. These moments reminded us that European cooperation is built on people first, projects second.
Looking ahead
As EAIE 2025 comes to a close, INVEST leaves Gothenburg energised and motivated. We are taking with us new partnerships to explore, fresh ideas to test in our universities, and a renewed belief in the importance of cross-border collaboration.
With this year’s theme of GO-create, we felt proud to show how INVEST contributes to co-creating a sustainable, student-focused, and innovative European Higher Education Area.
We now look forward to continuing the dialogue in our alliance and beyond — and to sharing more milestones with the global community at EAIE 2026 in Glasgow.
