Christophe Clément
Pr Christophe CLEMENT was elected president of URCA in March 2024.
For 20 years, he lead the Induced Resistance and Plant Bioprotection lab and got the INRAE label in 2020. In the meantime, he created in 2012 and lead the Condorcet research cluster, which was dedicated to bioeconomy development and federating 30 labs, 700 scientists and 15 technological platforms from 7 universities in the north of France and in Belgium.
Pr Christophe CLEMENT published more than 200 rank A publications in the field of plant physiology, created the "Bioeco Academy Campus", as well as several bachelor and master programmes dedicated to plant sciences and bioeconomy. He was an expert of 52 research and consultant for French Ministries.
In July 2020, he became vice-president for research in the URCA and lead the EXEBIO project with 56 M€ funding to implement an International Institute of Bioeconomy and Environment.
