Prof. Dr. Mariana Ivanova

Prof. Dr. Mariana Ivanova has been the Rector of the University of Agribusiness and Rural Development - Plovdiv in the period 2019-2023. In the period of 2008-2019, she was Vice Rector for Educational Activities and International Cooperation. Graduated from the Agricultural University in Plovdiv, Bulgaria and post-diploma specialization in Environmental Management in Canada. Defended PhD in Plant Protection. Professor since 2013 with research work in the field of plant protection, entomology, agroecology, organic farming, environmental management. Author of over 100 scientific publications, of which over 35 abroad through participation in international forums. Participated in the development and implementation of 15 national and 23 international projects, 8 of which she is the coordinator of. Local coordinator and manager of INVEST and INVEST4EXCELLENCE projects. Representative of the management of UARD for the Quality Management System according to ISO 9001:2015. Erasmus+ Program Institutional Coordinator. Contact person of UARD in the international organization IFOAM.
