INVEST TRAINING OF TRAINERS AND SUMMER SCHOOL OPEN IN THESSALONIKI
The INVEST Training of Trainers and Summer School officially opened today in Thessaloniki, hosted by the University of Thessaly.
The event brings together two parallel activities with different but complementary aims. The Training of Trainers focuses on the digital services developed by UTH and supports administrators and technical staff from INVEST partner universities in understanding how these platforms can be used across the Alliance.
In parallel, the INVEST Summer School welcomes students from partner universities for a learning programme focused on Building Smart and Sustainable Regions. Through lectures, discussions and collaborative activities, students will explore issues connected to sustainability, regional development, innovation and the role of universities in supporting smarter and more sustainable communities.
Day 1 included the opening session, introductory presentations and the first activities of both programmes. Participants had the opportunity to meet, become familiar with the objectives of the week and begin working within an international INVEST environment.
“This event marks an important moment for INVEST, bringing together staff training and student learning in Thessaloniki and strengthening cooperation across the Alliance,” said Prof. Nicholas Samaras, Local Coordinator of UTH INVEST team.
The event continues with further Training of Trainers sessions, Summer School activities and opportunities for exchange between students, staff and partner universities.
