INVEST AND E³UDRES² ALLIANCES EXPLORE COMMON GROUND AT CISPEE 2025

During the CISPEE 2025 Conference in Setúbal, Portugal, representatives from the INVEST European University Alliance and the E³UDRES² European University Alliance held an initial exploratory meeting at the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal.

The INVEST Alliance was represented by Prof. Nicholas Samaras and Dr. Omiros Iatrellis, while Prof. Raquel Barreira and Prof. José Luís Sousa participated on behalf of E³UDRES².

The discussion provided an opportunity to get to know each other’s strategic directions and explore areas of potential future collaboration. Topics such as micro-credentials, joint academic initiatives, and the role of Centers of Excellence in fostering innovation in higher education were among those informally addressed.

This collegial exchange aims to serve as a foundation for deeper dialogue and possible synergies between the two alliances, in line with the broader goals of the European Universities Initiative.
