INVEST TRAINING OF TRAINERS IN THESSALONIKI STRENGTHENS THE USE OF UTH-DEVELOPED DIGITAL PLATFORMS ACROSS THE ALLIANCE

Home News INVEST Training of Trainers in Thessaloniki strengthens the use of UTH-developed digital platforms across the Alliance

The INVEST Training of Trainers event took place in Thessaloniki, Greece, hosted by the University of Thessaly, bringing together administrators and technical staff from INVEST partner universities for three days of hands-on training on the digital services developed by UTH.

The event focused on the INVEST digital ecosystem and its role in supporting cooperation, mobility, learning opportunities and student guidance across the Alliance. Participants were introduced to the main platforms developed by the UTH team and explored how these tools can be used, supported and activated within their own institutions.

The Training of Trainers covered four key digital services:

  • Virtual Campus, the common digital backbone of the INVEST ecosystem, designed to connect users, services and opportunities in one shared environment.

  • EDUC8EU, the academic advising tool that supports students in exploring academic profiles, opportunities and personalised learning pathways.

  • Mobility Journal, a platform supporting the documentation and harmonisation of physical and virtual mobility experiences across the Alliance.

  • Micro-credentials Platform, which supports the organisation, management and visibility of INVEST micro-credential opportunities.

Through presentations, demonstrations and practical discussions, participants became familiar with the purpose, functionality and potential use of each platform. The event also created space for questions, feedback and exchange between the technical teams, administrators and platform developers.

A key objective of the ToT was not only to present the platforms, but also to prepare participants to act as local digital ambassadors within their universities. By sharing the knowledge gained during the training with their colleagues, participants are expected to support the wider activation and use of the INVEST digital services across the Alliance.

The event marked an important step in moving the INVEST digital ecosystem from development to practical institutional use. It also highlighted the importance of partner-level engagement, technical support and local dissemination in ensuring that digital tools become visible, accessible and useful for students, staff and stakeholders.

The Training of Trainers concluded with a group session and closing remarks, underlining the shared commitment to continue working together on the implementation, improvement and long-term use of the INVEST digital platforms.
