The European University Alliance INVEST participated in AGRA 2026, Bulgaria’s largest agricultural exhibition, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable development and innovation in the agri-food sector.

INVEST partner UARD organised a key international conference dedicated to one of today’s most pressing challenges: how organic farming can contribute to sustainable regional development. The event, held as part of the traditional “Day of Organic Farming,” brought together representatives from ministries, the organic sector, academia, and business.

Regional Living Labs in Action

During the conference, INVEST showcased its Regional Living Labs in Bulgaria, demonstrating how research and innovation can directly support business and regional ecosystems. The discussions focused on:

  • Sustainable regional development

  • Succession and transfer of family businesses

  • Innovation across the agri-food value chain

Dialogue with Institutions and Industry

The forum created space for constructive dialogue between policymakers, experts, and entrepreneurs. Participants explored INVEST incubator opportunities and collaborative approaches to addressing key challenges in the organic sector.

A Platform for Sustainable Collaboration

The event concluded with a strong commitment: INVEST and UARD will continue to serve as open platforms for cooperation, connecting modern education, research, and real-world practice to advance sustainable development.
