Description of the event:

This webinar explores what inclusive and sustainable educational leadership means in times of complexity and crisis, such as pandemics, climate-related disruptions, social inequalities, and rapid institutional change. Today, crises are no longer temporary events but ongoing conditions that affect how educational institutions function, make decisions, and support their communities. The session introduces participants to the idea that sustainability in education goes beyond environmental issues. It also includes sustaining people, relationships, trust, and institutional capacity over time. Through a simple and accessible framework, the webinar shows how inclusive leadership practices—such as participation, equity, and shared responsibility—are essential for building resilient and sustainable educational institutions.Drawing on real examples from education systems and universities, the webinar helps participants understand why traditional, top-down leadership approaches often struggle in complex situations, and how more inclusive and adaptive forms of leadership can better support students, staff, and institutions during uncertainty. No prior knowledge of leadership theory or sustainability is required.
