The University of Economics-Varna is one of the largest universities in the field of economic sciences in Bulgaria. UЕ-Varna strives to be a leading university with a transformative impact on society through continuous innovations in education, research, creativity and entrepreneurship. Its mission is to create a transformative educational experience for students and doctoral students; to encourage a collaborative environment open to the free exchange of ideas in which research, creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship can flourish and to ensure that all participants in the processes can fulfil their potential. UE-Varna offers 65 study programmes.
The university business collaboration e-platform UEBN with over 20,000 users supports students' career development. The UEVA business accelerator supports students’ start-ups and also the entrepreneurial approach in education. UE-Varna is among the initiators of the creation of the first deep technological valley in Europe VDTIP. All this identifies it as an attractive center for those willing to receive an internationally recognized and modern business oriented educational product. University of Economics – Varna was the 2015 Heritage Site winner of the Building of the Year National Contest. In 2016, the City of Varna prize was awarded to the university for the large-scale conservation of its classical building, the oldest of the three university buildings.
The university facilities are constantly improved to provide the best teaching and research opportunities. There are altogether over 110 lecture and research halls. Students have access to computer rooms, laboratories and department libraries for their seminars or self-study.
