The INVEST BE-FOOD Living Lab, part of the INVEST "BE-FOOD" project, is currently developing initiatives across sectors such as food and beverage production, agriculture, regional and rural development, and the social economy. The lab integrates stakeholders from academia, industry, and public administration at local, regional, and national levels, as well as civil society, including collaboration with six local governments such as the municipality of Banov in the district of Nové Zámky.

In April 2024, a significant activity was the joint innovation design workshop which included students, with the participation of 12 international students, and their counterparts from the Slovak University of Technology, along with local and regional stakeholders. A total of 45 students focused on regional and rural development, analyzing the main assets of Banov and proposing 10 innovations to aid its development. These proposals are currently being reviewed, with the selection of 3 to 5 innovations expected to inform a new strategic development plan for the municipality.

This project exemplifies the practical application of academic and collaborative efforts in regional development. Further updates will be provided as the project progresses.
