🏭 Urban areas generate a slew of environmental issues as a result of the consumption of natural resources and the resulting accumulation of waste and pollution, all of which contribute to the growth of social and economic inequity"

So, why smart transport? Smart transportation and smart city traffic management are revolutionizing how cities approach mobility and emergency response while reducing congestion on city streets. In other words, smart transportation uses new and emerging technologies to make moving around a city more convenient, more cost-effective (for both the city and the individual), and safer.  So, the value lies in how this technology is used rather than simply how much technology is available.

Hence, the main aim of CSUM is the dissemination of knowledge and the exchange of research and good practices among researchers and practitioners in the domain of transportation and mobility. The conference was organized in six thematic tracks.

  1. Electric and clean energy in transportation.
  2. Emerging and innovative technologies in transport.
  3. Active and non-motorized travel.
  4. Equitable, just inclusive transportation.
  5. Sustainable and resilient supply chain.
  6. Urban planning and transport infrastructure.

Invest and Invest4Excellence at the special sessions provided the participants with an insight into the current methodologies that address the area of sustainable urban development and the processes that increase urban resilience to natural and environmental hazards.
